Ingredients
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first four ingredients. Bring to a bubbling boil while stirring occasionally.
Continue to boil without stirring until when tested in cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Let it cool without stirring until top becomes glossy.
Beat to combine vanilla and butter. Spread into buttered 9 inch pan. Nuts may be added at
final beating if desired
