Ingredients
- 1 1/4 C butter-flavored shortening
- 3/4 C sugar
- 3/4 C packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 T maple syrup
- 1 t vanilla
- 3 C quick-cooking oats
- 1 3/4 C flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 3/4 C semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 Butterfinger candy bars (2.1 oz. each) chopped
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Beat in egg, syrup and vanilla. Combine oats, flour and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and candy bars. Roll into 1” balls. Place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes 7 dozen.
