J&L's Easter Bird Nests

Ingredients

  • Vegetable spray
  • 1 C milk chocolate chips
  • 1 C butterscotch chips
  • 2 C shredded coconut
  • 2 C chow mein noodles
  • jelly beans

Preparation

Step 1

Cut aluminum foil into 5-inch squares. Tuck the foil squares into the bottom of muffin tin cups. Spray the foil with vegetable spray. Set aside. In medium bowl, combine chocolate and butterscotch chips. Microwave the chips on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring once halfway through the cooking time. Using potholders, remove bowl from microwave. Gently stir in the coconut and then the noodles. Press 3-4 T of the mix into the bottom of each of the tin’s cups. The edges should come up to resemble a nest. Set aside to harden for 2 hours. To assemble, fill nests with the jellybeans and place on a pretty plate lined with a napkin, doily, or festive green Easter “grass”.
