TUNA SHELL CASSEROLE

  • 1 1/2 cups small macaroni shells
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced celery
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 can (3 1/2 oz) tuna, drained and flaked
  • 34 cup shredded cheddar cheese (3 oz)
  • 1 pkg (9 oz) frozen cut green beans, cooked without salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 cup low-fat skim milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cook macaroni following label directions but omitting salt. Drain. While macaroni cooks, sauté celery and onion in butter in a small skillet, stirring often, until tender.

Combine cooked macaroni, sautéed vegetables, tuna, cheese, green beans and pepper in a lightly greased 6-cup baking dish; toss gently to mix. Pour in milk; cover.

Bake at 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until piping hot.
