Ingredients

  • 8 apples, peeled & thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tbslp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, divided
  • 1 stick butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Bake 1 hour.

1. Grease an 8 " pan.
2. Place apples in large bowl.
3. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
4. Add 1 tsp. cinnamon.
5. If apples are very tart add 1/2 c. sugar.
6. Place apples in pan.
7. In a processor blend flour, sugar & 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
8. Add the butter & process with pulses until mixture resembles coarse meal.
9. Press crumb mixture over apples covering all apples well.
10. Place pan on baking sheet & bake until golden brown.
