Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 large seeded & chopped jalapeno
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2-3 cups shredded chicken
- pinch sugar
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 16 oz. diced tomatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Saute onion, jalapeno, & garlic in oil.
Add broth, tomatoes, soup, seasonings, and Worcestershire. Add chicken, cover, cook on low 1-2 hours.
Serve over broken tortilla chips and shredded Monterey Jack cheese in bottom of soup bowl. Add sliced avocado and/or sour cream if desired.
