Pie Crust (Food Processor)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 c. Cold shortening or unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c. Ice water

Preparation

Step 1

Place flour and salt in processor bowl with steel blade. Cut cold shortening into four pieces and drop into bowl. Process about 3 sec. Until mixture is crumbly. With motor running, pour ice water through tube and process until pastry forms into a mass ball and rides up on top of the blade- about 10 seconds.
