Fruit Cobbler

Bunny made this recipe with fresh ripe peaches while visiting from SC in July, 2006. She got the recipe from Cheryl Brady. My favorite is with peaches and raspberries!!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cup fruit (peaches, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugar. Mix together flour salt, baking powder, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating till smooth. Pour mixture into greased 2 gt. casserole. Mix together sugar and cinnamon and mix with fruit. Put fruit on top of batter. Pour 1 ½ cup water or fruit juice over the top. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
