Apple Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 c. Chopped celery
  • 1 c. Apple juice
  • 1 c. Water
  • 2 t. Butter or margarine
  • 1 t. Onion salt
  • 1/4 t. Cinnamon
  • 1 c. Raw white rice
  • 1 medium apple, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients except rice and apple, in 2 quart glass casserole. Cover with lid. Microwave for 6-7 minutes on high, or until boiling. Stir in rice and recover casserole, microwave 18-20 minutes on simmer 50, or until rice is tender-stir in apples and recover. Microwave for 1 or 2 minutes, on reheat 80, or until hot.
