Ingredients
- 3 1/2 lb round roast
- 2 T flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 T oil
- 1 c sliced onion
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 c water
- 6 carrots
- 6 med potatoes, peeled and cut

Preparation
Step 1
wipe roast with damp cloth
Mix flour, and seasoning and sprinkle over roast and rub in
Heat oil in dutch oven over Hi heat. Partially brown on all sides.
Add onion and cook until browned
Add bouillon, bay leaf and water.
Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours
Turn Roast and add veg, pushing down into liquid. Simmer for 1 1/2 more hours until veg are tender.
Thicken liquid for gravy
