Ingredients
- 48 CHIPITS® Mini KISSES™ Brand Milk Chocolate Baking Pieces (approx.)
- 1 cup (250 mL) butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- 2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 mL) CHIPITS® Mini Chips Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE (Recipe follows)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended. Add flour to butter mixture; blend until smooth. Stir in mini chocolate chips. Mold scant tablespoons dough around each chocolate baking piece, covering completely. Shape into balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
2. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until set and golden on the bottom. Cool slightly and remove from baking sheets to a rack; cool completely. Garnish with Chocolate Drizzle; let stand until set. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
Chocolate Drizzle: Place 1/4 cup (50 mL) CHIPITS® Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips and 1 tsp (5 mL) shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) for 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave for an additional 10 seconds, stirring after each interval, until chocolate is melted and smooth.
