Ingredients

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 to 5 Tbsp. cold butter
  • 7/8 C. plain yogurt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 450.
2. Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Cut butter into bits and work into flour.
3. Use large spoon to stir yogurt into flour, until mixture forms a ball. Turn onto floured surface and knead ten times.
4. Press into 3/4-inch thick rectangle and cut into 2-inch rounds. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
5. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
