Waldorf Chicken Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 ribs celery
  • 1/2 c. red grapes
  • 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 2 apples
  • 4 oz cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 head horseradish or romaine lettuce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut the white ends off the celery. Dice it into small pieces.

2. Cut the grapes in half and crush the walnuts into pieces. Chop the chicken into small pieces.

3. Wash, peel, core and dice the apples.

4. Place the apples, grapes, walnuts, celery, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a bowl and mix together. Add a few teaspoons of lemon juice, but not enough to be obvious.

5. Refrigerate for an hour.

6. Arrange the lettuce on a plate or in a bowl and top with the salad.
