Ingredients
- Filling:
- 5 1/2 - 6 cups Flour
- 2 pkgs (4 1/2 tsp) Active Dry Yeast
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cinnamon
- Glaze:
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Maple Flavor (extract)
- 3 Tbsp Melted Butter
- 3-4 Tbsp Hot Coffee
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
Heat milk, water and butter. Add to flour mixture.
Add eggs and blend at low speed and then medium speed for 3 minutes.
By hand stir in remaining flour till you have a soft dough.
Knead on floured surface till smooth and elastic 5-8 minutes.
Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
Cover and let rise until doubled (1 hour).
Combine sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
Punch down dough and divide into 2 equal parts.
On a lightly floured surface, roll each part into 12"x 9" rectangle.
Brush each part with melted butter, then coat with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Starting with a 12" side, roll up tightly.
Cut into 12 slices.
Place into 2 greased 9x13 pans.
Cover and let rise util indentations remain after touching the side of the roll (30 minutes).
Bake @ 375 for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Drizzle glaze over hot rolls and then cool.
