Grilled Peppers and Onions

Grilled vegetables make a delicious condiment when used like a relish to top hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, and other seasonal favorites, like our Grilled Sausages with Mix & Match Toppings (pictured).

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pound(s) peppers (red, orange, and yellow), thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoon(s) balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare grill for direct grilling on medium.

In a large bowl, toss all ingredients. Transfer to large sheet of nonstick foil (or foil coated with nonstick cooking spray).

Wrap foil around mixture, crimping edges to seal. Grill 15 to 18 minutes or until tender.
