Ingredients
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 T sugar
- 2 T white vinegar
- 1 T butter
- 16 oz can pitted sweet cherries
- 2 cans mandarin oranges
- 2 c miniature marshmallows
- 1 c heavy cream
Preparation
Step 1
Drain the pineapple and reserve 2 T juice. In a double boiler beat the egg yolks and add 2T of pineapple juice, sugar, vinegar, butter and dash of salt. Cook till thickens and cool.
Meanwhile, combine fruits and marshmallows. Pour the cooled custard over and mix gently. Whip the cream and fold into the fruit mixture. Cover and chill for 24 hours.
