Overnight Breakfast Casserole (Ronna Pope)

Ingredients

  • 9 9 9 slices of bread (remove crust)
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 4 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 2 1/2 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1 1 lb cooked sausage, bacon or ham (I used sausage)

Preparation

Step 1

Butter 9x13 pan. Butter bread and cube, then place in pan. Sprinkle cheese over bread cubes. Then cover with ham, bacon or sausage. Beat the eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour this mixture over bread and cheese. Let stand overnight. Bake 45 minutes at 350.

NOTE: If adding vegetables, precook with meat to get water out of them.
