Preparation
Step 1
In a small mixing bowl cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy
beat in egg
combine the flour and baking soda, baking powder and 1 teaspoon nutmeg
add to cream mixture
add buttermilk
pour into a 9 inch square pan
combine the remaining sugar and nutmeg
sprinkle on top
bake at 350* for 30 to 35 minutes
