    1/2 cup frosted shredded wheat crumbs

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    8 tablespoons butter

  • 3/8 3/8

    3/8 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 1/2

    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1 1

    1 egg

  • 1 1

    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 1

    1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 1/2

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 1/2

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375F. 2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until well blended. 3. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. 4. In a separate bowl, combine cereal crumbs, flour, baking soda and baking powder; add to butter mixture and stir to combine. 5. Add chocolate chips. (I found it easier to use my hands at this stage. The dough is hard to stir with a spoon). 6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto a lightly greased cookie sheet (or use baking liners) 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes. 8. Cool completely; store in an airtight container. And now I don't have to throw away the crumbs at the bottom of the cereal bag. Sorry honey......
