Grasshopper Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (10 oz) large marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 8 oz. cool whip, thawed
  • 1/4 c. green creme de menthe
  • 2 T. white creme de cocoa
  • chocolate crumb pie shell

Preparation

Step 1

In 3 quart bowl stir milk and marshmallows. Microwave covered on high for 2 to 3 minutes, until mixture can be stirred smooth. Chill in refrigerator about 30 to 40 minutes or in pan of ice water; until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Fold in creme de menthe and cool whip until thoroughly mixed. Pour into crust and chill several hours or overnight. Can sprinkle with cookie crumbs or spread with additional cool whip.

For pink pie use 1/4 c. creme de noya and 2 T. creme de cocoa (white).

We like to serve at Christmas and New Years.
