GRUYERE PASTRY BUNDLES
- 8 8 8 oz Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1 1 1 egg yolk
- 2 2 2 tblsp heavy cream
- 1/2 8 1/2 8 1/2 8 oz pkg phyllo dough
- Melted butter
Preheat oven to 425. Combine cheese, egg yolk and heavy cream in small bowl. Stir in salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Cut phyllo dough sheets into 5 inch pieces. Layer 3 sheets of dough on top of each other for each bundle, brushing butter between layers as directed on package. Prepare 10 of these sets.
Place 1 tablespoon reserved cheese mixture in center of each set of dough. Bring up ends and twist at top to make bundles. Place on large baking sheet.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until browned. Cool
