Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 c. water
- 2 sticks margarine
- 4 T. cocoa
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 t. soda
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 2 T. cocoa
- 3 T. milk
- 1 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 shredded coconut or 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
Grease cookie sheet 10 1/2X15 1/2. Boil 1 cup water in two quart saucepan. Add 2 sticks margarine and 4 T. cocoa. Remove from heat. Add 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 2 c. sugar and 1/2 t. salt. Beat in 2 eggs, 1 c. sour cream and 1 t. soda. Pour in pan and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Frosting:
White cake is baking, in small saucepan, bring to boil 1/2 stick margin, 2 T. cocoa and 3 T. milk. Remove from heat. Add 1 3/4 c. confectioners sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla. Mix well. Add 1/2 c. shredded coconut or 1/2 c. chopped walnuts. Spread on cake immediately after cake is finished baking. (Note from cook - this cake will not stay around long.)
