Ingredients
- 1/2 Tsp baking soda
- 2 Cups Quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 Tsp baking soda
- 1 Cup packied brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup shortening
- 1/4 Cup margarine
- 1 Beaten egg
- 1/2 Tsp baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine rolled oats, soda and 1/4 Tsp. salt.
2. In large saucepan combine brown sugar, shortening, and margarine. Cook and stir over low heat until melted; remove from heat. Stir in dry ingredients. Add egg; mix well.
3. Drop from a teaspoon 3 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet; stir remaining batter of ten.
4. Bake in 375° oven for 6-7 minutes. Cool 2 minutes; remove to wire rack.
