Banana Bread

Quick and easy one-bowl recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 3 3 ripe medium bananas
  • 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 1 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Butter and flour an 8x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash bananas until mostly smooth.
Stir in melted butter.
Add flour, sugar, egg, baking soda, and vanilla extract, stirring until thick and combined.
Spread batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 50 minutes to an hour, covering with foil halfway through baking to avoid excessive browning.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil. Good for 1-2 days.
