AMARETTO PEARS

Ingredients

  • 1 pear per person
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • ice cream of choice*
  • caramel (water-sugar and amaretto)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Peel pears, cut in halves and empty.
2. Boil sugar and water and poach pears 20 minutes.
3. Cool and refrigerate overnight.
4. Fill with ice cream and pour a few drops of grand marnier.
5. Add the other half and put in freezer just before serving.
6. Make syrup by reboiling mixture adding amaretto. It takes 20 minutes before obtaining the right consistency.
Pour over pears and serve.
