Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 lb flank steak, trimmed (or use top sirloin)
  • 4 4 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1 1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 1 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 1 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 2 2 avocados, sliced
  • 1 1 1 cup organic fresh salsa

Preparation

Step 1

Place steak in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag. Whisk together garlic and next 7 ingredients; reserve ½ cup marinade. Pour remaining marinade over steak; seal and chill 8 hours or overnight.
Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Cook steak in a greased cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
Let steak stand 10 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain. Serve with reserved ½ cup marinade, avocado, and salsa.
