Black Forest Overnight Oats

Cherries 'n chocolate make one of the best combinations around. Mix up this sweet treat the night before, and you'll be excited to get out of bed in the morning!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1 1 packet no-calorie sweetener (like Truvia)
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 2 2 drops almond extract
  • 1/8 1/8 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • Dash Dash salt
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup pitted dark sweet cherries (fresh or thawed from frozen, drained
  • & chopped
  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 tsp. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl or jar, combine almond milk, yogurt, sweetener, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until uniform.

Stir in oats and chopped cherries.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, until oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.

Top with chocolate chips.

MAKES 1 SERVING

HG Tip: If starting with frozen cherries, make sure no sugar has been added.
