Gingerbread Syrup

This is very very tasty if you like the taste of gingerbread. It's excelent in coffee and I use it in Recipe #245330 and Recipe #245325

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove

Total Time: 20 mins

1 Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat over medium heat.

2 Stir till sugar is dissolved.

3 You can strain this through cheesecloth for a clearer syrup, or leave the spices in it.
