Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground turkey or chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 red pepper diced
- 2 carrots peeling and grated
- 1 - 8 ounce can water chestnuts chopped
- 1 clove garlic, mashed
- 4 green onions chopped
- 1 lg or 2 small heads of iceberg lettuce
- Asian Sauce
- 3/4 cup hoisen sauce
- 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 small garlic clove mashed
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- Add steam fried noodles to each wrap (asian section) for an extra crunch
Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet brown the meat with the chopped onion. When the meat is not longer pink, drain fat and add peppers.
Cook 1 min add carrots, water chestnuts, garlic and green onion cook 1 - 2 min more.
Mix sauce ingredients together and heat in a small saucepan on the stove. Stir in enough sauce into the meat to coat lightly...(1/4 - 1/2)
Core letucces slice in half and seperate the leaves. Wash well and pile in a bowl.
