Almond Butter Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 1 pound butter
  • 2 cups 2 cups sugar or brown sugar
  • 12 ounces package 12 ounces package semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 cups 2 cups crushed Almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 Tablespoons 2 Tablespoons corn syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Grease a 9x13 inch-baking pan with butter and sugar. Let cook, stirring constantly,for 5/10 minuets until it is brown and almost smoking. Pour the mixture into pan over the nuts.Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the mixture so they will melt and spread the melted chocolate over the mixture. Sprinkle additional groundnuts on top if you wish. Let the candy cool before cutting into bars.
