Ingredients
- 3/4 3/4 3/4 cup butter
- 2 2 2 cups sugar
- 4 4 4 eggs
- 3 3 3 cups flour
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 2/3 2/3 2/3 cup each cherries, apricot and pineapple preserves
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1 1 teaspoon soda
Preparation
Step 1
cream together butter, sugar, and eggs
sift together flour and spices
add soda to buttermilk
add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to the sugar and egg mixture
gently fold in the preserves and vanilla
pour into a greased and floured angel food cake pan
bake 1 1/2 hours or until done a 325*
cool 15 minutes and remove from pan
