Ingredients
- 2 pork roasts
- 1 (2-liter) bottle Dr. Pepper
- 1 bottle dark barbecue sauce
- 2 packages hamburger buns
Preparation
Step 1
Put roasts and Dr. Pepper in a crock pot and cook on low all night. Turn off in the morning if roast is tender. 2 hours before serving drain all liquid from the crock pot and shred meat. Add barbeque sauce and cook on low until heated through. Serve on buns.

I have done this with Coke. I hate Dr. Pepper. It tastes like medicine to me. I agree with Dan that you need to have roasts with more fat. It gives it flavor and the meat is juicer. You throw out the coke and fat anyway. I did try it with leaner pork roasts and they were dry even though you cooked them in a liquid.
