Make sure turkey is thawed (fill sink with cold water and put turkey in to finish thawing, might want to check turkey the night before)
Remove spare parts from the turkeys guts (neck, gizzard etc, throw in garbage)and rinse out your turkey
Place turkey on lifter in roaster pan
Turn oven on to 350 degrees

Stuffing

In a frying pan add onion and butter and cook onions until they are clear.
Add bread crumbs to onions along with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning to taste.
Mix all toghether
The bread crumbs should be partially wet, if they are too dry add small amounts of warm water till you have the right consistency.
Fill the first bag with the bread crumbs (make a ball with the stuffing) and put in the large cavity of your turkey (make sure you tie the stuffing bag)
If you have room in the neck of the turkey you can use another bag and put your remaining bread crumbs in the bag there.

Plug kettle in and pour boiling water all over the outside of your turkey to plump him up and to tighten the skin. Add water in the bottom the roaster so it wont boil dry Add salt and pepper to taste.
Put tin foil over turkey for first 3 hours and remove letting it brown for the last hour. Keep checking turkey as cooking time will depend on size of turkey

Cook turkey at 350 degree for approximately 4 hours

Remove turkey and dressing
Put dressing in a bowl and put back in the oven
Slice turkey for dinner and save bones for Turkey soup (refrigerate)you will need pieces of turkey to make the soup

Strain the juice in the bottom of the roaster into a bowl then put back in roaster and add flour, salt and pepper and water to make the right thickness for the gravy
