Ingredients
- 1 C 1 C Shortening
- 3 C 3 C Sugar
- 4 T 4 T Cocoa
- 2 t 2 t Salt
- 5 C 5 C All Purpose Flour
- 4 4 Eggs
- 2 T 2 T Red Food Coloring
- 2 t 2 t Vanilla
- 2 C 2 C Buttermilk
- 3 t 3 t Baking Soda
- 2 T 2 T White Vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and Sugar together.
Sift cocoa, salt & flour together.
Add Eggs to sugar mixture and combine.
Mix together the food coloring, vanilla and buttermilk.
Alternate adding wet and dry ingredients together.
Combine baking soda and white vinegar and add to batter.
Bake at 350
