Beer Beef Steak Stroganoff

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. round steak sliced about 1" thick and cut into 3" pieces
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 cups or more of beef
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1 tsp. worcester sauce
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Small can mushrooms, drained
- 1 small green pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Brown steak in butter on both sides in a deep frying pan. Add green peppers if desired, onions, salt and pepper and cook 10 minutes. Add beer and worcester sauce. Cover and cook slowly about 1 1/2 hours.
Remove meat to platter and keep hot. Combine flour with water to make paste and add to the gravy in pan. Stir until thickened. Add sour cream and mushrooms.
To serve pour gravy over steak and surround with mounds of whipped potatoes and small whole carrots.
