Ingredients
- 12 12 12 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1/2 1/2 1 cup sugar plus 1 cup sugar
- 12 12 12 egg yolks, beaten until light
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1 1 Quart heavy cream, beaten
- 1 1 1 Quart milk
- 1 1 1 Quart whiskey
- 1 1 1 Cup Rum
Preparation
Step 1
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add in 1/2 cup sugar.
Beat egg yolks in a separate bowl until very light. Add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp salt.
Combine the egg mixtures and stir until blended well.
Add heavy cream, milk, and whiskey. Beat well.
Add rum.
Pour into gallon jug. Store in a cool cellar. Shake or stir thoroughly before serving. Sprinkle with nutmeg when served.
