Light Brown Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 4 4 tblsp butter
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup grated onion and juice
  • 4 4 4 tblsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1 1 tblsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1 1 cup beef stock
  • 3 3 3 cups chicken stock

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in sauce pan over med-high heat. Whisk in onion and flour cook about 1 minute. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, beef and chicken stocks. Simmer to thicken. If not thick enough; turn up heat to med-high. Stir a few tablespoons of cornstarch into a cup of cold water until smooth. Add a little at time to gravy mixture and stir until the thickness desired. Might not use all of the cornstarch mixture.
