Garlic-Lemon Scallops

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C butter
  • 3 T minced garlic
  • 2 # large sea scallops ( I use 1# for two servings)
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 2 T fresh lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in large skillet over medium - high heat. Stir in garlic and cook for a few seconds till fragrant. Add scallops and cook for several minutes on one side then turn over and continue cooking until firm and opaque.
Remove scallops to a platter then whisk in salt, pepper and lemon juice into butter. Pour sauce over scallops to serve.

Note: can be served over rice or pasta
