Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen edamame in pod
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Preparation

Step 1

Bring the water and garlic to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Stir in the edamame, and cook until hot and the liquid nearly evaporated, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-high and stir in (optional) teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and sesame oil. Stir constantly until sauce has thickened and coats the edamame, about 4 minutes. Serve!
