Creamed Corn - Gulliver's II

Ingredients

  • 8 ears corn
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp flour
  • grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the corn from the cobs and place in saucepan with whipping cream. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in salt and sugar.

Melt 2 tsp butter in a small pan and stir in flour. Do not brown. Stir the butter-flour roux into corn and cook until slightly thickened. Turn corn into ovenproof dish, sprinkle with cheese and dot with butter. Brown under broiler
