Ingredients
- 6 club rolls
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 5 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3/4 cup firmly packed grated cheddar cheese (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Using a sharp knife, carefully cut out an oblong hole from the top of the rolls. Scoop out the bread, ensuring you don’t pierce the bottom of the rolls. Place the rolls on a baking tray. Discard the scooped-out bread.
In a bowl, mix together the mushrooms, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and garlic. Stir in half the cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide mixture evenly among the bread rolls and top with the remaining cheese.
Place in preheated oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until bread and cheese are golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes before serving.
