Bread Pudding

  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup chopped dates or raisins
  • 8 slices French bread torn into small pieces



Step 1

Preheat oven 350*
drizzle melted butter into an 8 inch baking dish
whisk together brown sugar, half and half, eggs, vanilla and cinnamon
stir in bread cubes and dates
spoon mixture into baking pan
bake 15 minutes, stir mixture to coat with liquid
bake 35 minutes more or until pudding is set
remove from oven, cool slightly, serve warm with ice cream or brandy sauce
