Ingredients
- 1 (14 oz) pkg Kraft caramel candies, unwrapped
- 1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 pkg Betty Crocker SuperMoist German Chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 cups butter
- 1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 (6 oz) pkg semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup flaked coconut
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Heat 1/2 cup evaporated milk over medium heat, stirring constantly
Add caramels and melt.
Meanwhile, melt the butter and the rest of the milk and stir into cake mix. Stir in pecans into the cake mix. (The batter will be very stiff)
Grease a 9 x 13 pan
Spread half the batter in the bottom of the pan and bake for 6 minutes
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips then coconut on top
Pour caramel mixture over the top
Spoon the remaining cake mix over the top
Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes
Remove and let cool 2-3 hours
Refrigerate before cutting into squares
