Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C milk
- 1/4 + 1/8 C all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 C butter, softened
- 2 1/4 C powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
In a small saucepan whisk the milk, flour and salt together constantly on medium low heat until the mixture thickens.
Remove the pan from the heat and cool completely, stirring occasionally.
Beat butter and sugar for 1 minute or until creamy. Add the cooked flour mixture and vanilla. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes. Frosting will become thick and smooth.
Use immediately. Does not hold well to ice later.
