Georgia's Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 1 1/2 c butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c buttermilk
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • 3 1/4 c flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • confectioners sugar
  • milk
  • vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, beat well. Add baking soda and vanilla to sour cream and milk. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 5-6 min or until light golden brown on bottom.
Icing:
Mix ingredients to taste. Ice when cooled.
