Gran's Christmas Fudge

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 can evaporated milk - (12 oz)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallow
  • 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 lb coarsely - chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, bring the sugar, salt, butter and evaporated milk to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan. Set aside.

Take off the heat and add pecans, marshmallows and chocolate. Beat until chocolate is all melted.

Pour fudge into prepared pan. Let harden at room temperature 3 hours before cutting into 1-inch squares (can be placed in the refrigerator or freezer to speed hardening process).
