Cheese Sauce for Veggies

- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pinch of cayenne pepper
1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in flour and cook until golden, about 1 minute.
2. Whisk in 1 1/2 cups whole milk. Boil, whisking, until thickened slightly, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
3. Stir in cheddar, cayenne and salt until smooth. Serve immediately.
