Ingredients
- 1 pkg. PERDUE® Fresh Lean Ground Turkey (1 lb.) or PERDUE® Fresh Ground Chicken (1 lb.)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 12-inch prepared pizza crusts
- 1 cup bottled pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups (about 6 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 2 small tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1 can (2.25 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 small onion, sliced
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425° F. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, crushed red pepper and Italian seasoning; cook, stirring often, about 10 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
2 Spread pizza sauce over both pizza crusts. Add the following toppings in this order: 1/2 the cheese, tomatoes, olives, green pepper, onion, turkey mixture and remaining cheese. Bake on a baking sheet for about 15 minutes or until pizza is heated through and cheese is melted.
