Skillet Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 3 tbsp ketchup, divided
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine ingredients ground beef through mustard. Add 1 tbsp of the ketchup and knead with hands until well-combined. Form into 8 patties.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook, flipping every 4 minutes, and reducing heat as necessary, until patties reach a safe internal temp of 160°, about 10 minutes per side. Remove from pan to plate, tent with foil.

Return skillet to medium heat. Add brown sugar and remaining 2 tbsp ketchup. Cook until bubbling and sugar is dissolved, 1-2 minutes. Spread glaze over tops of patties and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers.
