Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c (2 sticks) oleo, softened
  • 3/4 c granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-2/3 c (10 oz pkg) Nestle Toll House Holiday Morsels, divided
  • 1 c chopped nuts, optional

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl
3. Beat oleo, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Gradually beat in flour mixture
6. Stir in 1 cup morsels and nuts (if desired).
7. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
8. Top dollops with remaining morsels.

9. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Cool on baking sheets on wire rack for 2 minutes
11. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

** NOTE ** IF OMITTING NUTS, ADD 1-2 TBSP MORE FLOUR

Store in covered container

Makes about 4-1/2 dozen cookies
